Hillbrook Hosts Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Back in November, air quality from the Northern California fires called for a cancellation of beloved Hillbrook tradition Grandparents & Special Friends Day. We were thrilled to have an opportunity to re-launch this special day, full of community bonding and cross-generational connection, on December 21, the day before we departed for winter break.

Grandparents and special friends, a group which uniquely included parents due to the nature of the rescheduled event, enjoyed a delicious breakfast and a warm welcome from Head of School Mark Silver, They then embarked across our 14-acre campus and experienced two class sessions with their student(s). Across the campus, the energy was abuzz with excitement as students and guests participated in activities, played games, crafted artwork, and made memories together.

Hillbrook had a very special friend on this day: our first student, Richerd Cancilla!

Special thanks to Grandparents & Special Friends Day co-chairs Erika Brown and Lindsey Piziali and to all our volunteers who helped guide our guests and made this event a success.
